Booking Terms & Conditions

The terms on which we welcome you to Atlantic Bays — clear, honest and worth a quick read before you book.

Before you book

A few things to know

These are the booking terms for holidays at Atlantic Bays Holiday Park, St Merryn, Padstow. By making a booking you agree to them, so please take a moment to read them through. They cover how to pay, what happens if your plans change, when you can arrive and leave, and the house rules that keep the park a calm, friendly place for everyone.

If anything is unclear, the team is always happy to talk it through — just call 01841 520 855 or email info@atlanticbaysholidaypark.co.uk.

1 · Deposits & payment

Securing your stay

A deposit confirms your dates; the balance falls due nearer the time. All payments are taken securely through our booking system — we never handle your card details on this website.

Deposit. A 20% deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your holiday.

Balance. The remaining balance is due 28 days before your arrival date. If you book within four weeks of arrival, the full amount is payable at the time of booking.

How to pay. We accept cash, cheque, and credit and debit cards. Card payments are processed through our secure booking provider.

If the balance is not paid by the due date, we may treat the booking as cancelled and apply the cancellation terms below.

2 · Cancellations & transfers

If your plans change

We understand plans shift. Rather than lose what you’ve paid, we let you carry it forward to a future stay — and we recommend taking out holiday insurance for peace of mind.

If you cancel. We do not offer cash refunds. Instead, monies paid are transferred to a future booking, which must be re-scheduled and taken within six months of the original arrival date. If the booking is not re-scheduled within that period, the monies are forfeited.

Transfer admin fee. A £15 administration fee applies to transfer or amend a booking.

If we cancel. In the unlikely event we have to cancel your booking, you will be refunded the monies you have paid, less any commission charged by a third-party booking provider.

3 · Arrival & departure

Check-in & check-out times

Check-in and check-out times differ between our holiday homes and our touring and camping pitches, to give us time to prepare each unit for the next guests.

Lodges & chalets

  • Check-in from 3pm
  • Check-out by 10am
  • Late check-in by arrangement, no later than 10pm (a fee may apply)

Touring & camping

  • Check-in from 12pm (noon)
  • Check-out by 10am
  • Late check-in by arrangement, no later than 9pm

4 · Damage pre-authorisation

A refundable hold

For our holiday homes, we place a pre-authorisation hold on your card. It is not a charge — provided everything is left as you found it, the hold is simply released.

A refundable damage pre-authorisation hold is taken at booking or arrival and released within 10 working days of departure, subject to a satisfactory inspection:

  • Lodges — £200
  • Sun Cabins & Deluxe Sun Cabins (chalets) — £100
  • Glamping pods — £50

Any damage, breakage or extra cleaning required beyond the hold amount may be charged separately. Please report any accidental damage to reception so we can put it right for the next guests.

5 · Who can stay

Families & couples only

Atlantic Bays is a quiet, family-friendly park, and we keep it that way for everyone’s enjoyment.

  • Bookings are accepted from families and couples only. We do not accept single-sex groups or young-adult groups.
  • Under-16s must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
  • We reserve the right to refuse a booking or ask guests to leave, without refund, where these conditions are not met or where behaviour affects other guests.

6 · Park rules

House rules & courtesies

A short list of sensible rules keeps the park safe, clean and peaceful for every guest.

Dogs

Well-behaved dogs are welcome on our touring and camping pitches only, on a lead and under adult supervision at all times.

No pets are permitted in lodges or chalets/cabins.

Smoking

There is no smoking inside any lodge or chalet.

Designated outdoor smoking areas are provided around the park.

BBQs & fires

Raised, supervised BBQs are allowed on the touring and camping fields. There is also a designated BBQ area to use.

No open fires, fire pits or chimineas anywhere on site. BBQs and open fires are not permitted on the lodge/chalet park — please use the designated BBQ area.

Gazebos & awnings
