Our camping field is the easy, good-value way to do a Cornish beach holiday — a level grass pitch, room for the kids to run, and the famous surf beaches around Padstow just a ten-minute drive away.

Choose a standard grass pitch or step up to an electric pitch with a hook-up. Either way you’re a short stroll from St Merryn village, with our bar and café, shop and refurbished play park on the doorstep.

Good to know

A few honest details before you pack

We like to be clear about how the camping field works, so there are no surprises when you arrive.

One tent per pitch

Each pitch takes a single tent. No roof tents, trailer tents or pup tents, and no awnings on the grass tent pitches.

No gazebos on site

Gazebos aren't permitted anywhere on the park. A raised, supervised BBQ is welcome — there's a BBQ area by the touring field entrance.

Dogs are welcome

Up to two dogs join you free of charge on the camping field, on a lead and under supervision — with dog-friendly beaches a short drive away.

Check-in from noon

Camping check-in is from 12pm noon, with check-out by 10am. Late arrivals by arrangement, no later than 9pm.

The camping field sits within our family-run park, so a friendly bar and café, an onsite shop, clean shower blocks and a year-round launderette are all close at hand — plus a refurbished play park for the children.

The Seven Bays

Surf, sand and the coast path

Pitch here and you’re minutes from a string of golden, surf-washed beaches — Harlyn Bay for a beginner surf lesson, Constantine and Treyarnon for the bigger swell, sheltered Daymer for the little ones. Most are around a ten-minute drive.

Before you book

How much does camping cost at Atlantic Bays?

Grass tent pitches start from around £15 per night (third-party listings — Campsites.co.uk / Pitchup, 2026 [to confirm]). The park publishes no fixed nightly tariff, so check live availability for your dates on the booking system, or call the team on 01841 520 855.

Are dogs allowed when camping?

Yes — up to two dogs are welcome free of charge on the camping and touring fields, on a lead and under adult supervision. Please note dogs are not permitted in the lodges, cabins or chalets.

How big are the pitches?

Non-electric grass tent pitches measure 5m × 6m. Electric pitches measure 7m × 5m and include a 16-amp electric hook-up.

Can I bring an awning or gazebo?

Awnings are not allowed on the grass tent pitches, and gazebos are not permitted anywhere on site. Each pitch takes one tent — no roof, trailer or pup tents.

When is the camping season?

The touring and camping season runs 1 March – 2 January. Most of the Seven Bays are around a ten-minute drive, with St Merryn village within walking distance.
