Accessibility Statement
We want everyone to be able to plan and book a Cornish break with us — here is what we do to make this website easy to use, and how to tell us when something is not.
Our commitment
Built to be used by everyone
Atlantic Bays Holiday Park is committed to making our website accessible to all visitors, including disabled people and people using assistive technology. We believe a warm welcome starts online, and we want planning a holiday with us to be straightforward whatever device or tools you use.
We aim to meet the internationally recognised Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, and we design and build with the requirements of the Equality Act 2010 in mind. Accessibility is an ongoing commitment rather than a one-off task — we keep reviewing and improving the site as it grows.

How we make it work
Steps we take across the site
We have built this website to be as clear, readable and navigable as possible. In practice that means:
- Clear, consistent layout and navigation on every page, with breadcrumbs to help you find your way.
- Text and background colours chosen to meet WCAG 2.2 AA contrast levels for comfortable reading.
- A logical heading structure and semantic markup so screen readers can navigate the content.
- Descriptive alternative text on images, and meaningful labels on links, buttons and form fields.
- Visible focus indicators and generous tap targets, so the site works by keyboard and on touchscreens.
- Respect for your “reduced motion” setting, with text that reflows when you zoom in.
Known limitations
Where we know we can do better
We are honest about the parts of the experience we do not yet fully control. We are working to improve these, and we welcome you to tell us about anything else you find difficult.
- Online booking. When you book a holiday, you are taken to our third-party booking system (Prophet Booking). Its accessibility is maintained by the provider rather than by us — if you have any difficulty, please call the team on 01841 520 855 and we will gladly take your booking by phone.
- Older documents and images. A small number of older photographs and any downloadable brochures may not yet carry complete alternative text or be fully tagged. [to confirm]
- Embedded third-party content. Maps or other content embedded from other services may not always meet the same standard as the rest of the site. [to confirm]
This is our current understanding; a full independent audit against WCAG 2.2 AA is [to confirm].
