Arrivals & departures
Check-in and check-out
- What time is check-in and check-out for lodges and cabins?
- For lodges and Sun Cabins, check-in is from 3pm and check-out is by 10am. A late check-in can be arranged in advance, but no later than 10pm (a fee may apply).
- What time is check-in and check-out for touring and camping?
- For touring and camping pitches, check-in is from 12pm noon and check-out is by 10am. A late check-in can be arranged in advance, but no later than 9pm.
- Can I arrive late in the evening?
- Yes, by prior arrangement — please let the team know your estimated arrival time. The latest arrival is 10pm for lodges and cabins, and 9pm for touring and camping. All guests sign in and out, and there is a security barrier on site.
Dogs & pets
Bringing your dog
- Are dogs allowed at Atlantic Bays?
- Dogs are welcome on touring and camping pitches only, kept on a lead and under adult supervision. Up to two dogs stay free on camping pitches. There are several dog-friendly beaches close by.
- Can I bring my dog into a lodge or cabin?
- No — pets are not permitted in the lodges or in the Sun Cabins and Deluxe Sun Cabins. Dogs are welcome on touring and camping pitches only.
Booking & payment
Deposits, balances and damage holds
- How much deposit do I pay to book?
- A 20% deposit secures your booking. The balance is due 28 days before arrival; if you book within four weeks of arrival, the full amount is payable at the time of booking. We accept cash, cheque, and credit and debit cards.
- Is there a damage deposit or pre-authorisation?
- Yes — a refundable pre-authorisation hold is taken for self-catering units and released within ten working days, subject to no damage: £200 for lodges and £100 for chalets (Sun and Deluxe Sun Cabins).
- What is your cancellation policy?
- If you cancel, monies paid are not refunded as cash but transfer to a future booking, to be re-scheduled within six months, after which they are forfeited. If the park has to cancel, you receive a refund less any commission. A £15 admin fee applies to transfers.
- How much does a holiday cost per night?
- Nightly prices vary by unit and by date, so please check live availability through our booking system for your chosen dates, or call the team on 01841 520 855 for prices. As a guide, touring pitches start from around £28 and camping from around £15 per night.
Who can stay
Eligibility and house rules
- Who can book a stay at Atlantic Bays?
- Atlantic Bays welcomes families and couples only. We are not able to accept single-sex groups or young-adult party groups. Under-16s must be supervised by an adult at all times.
- Is smoking allowed?
- There is no smoking inside the chalets or lodges. Designated outdoor smoking areas are provided around the park.
- Can I have a barbecue or fire pit?
- Open fires, fire pits and chimineas are not permitted anywhere on site, and gazebos are not allowed. Raised, supervised barbecues are fine; on the lodge and chalet park please use the designated barbecue area by the touring field entrance.
Your stay
What's included and what to bring
- Are bed linen and towels included?
- Lodges include linen and towels. Sun Cabins include duvets and pillows, but bed sheets and towels are not included (they can be added). Deluxe Sun Cabins do not include bed sheets or towels (also addable).
- What is included with a touring or camping pitch?
- Touring offers four pitch grades, from fully serviced to standard grass, with electric and hardstanding options. Camping pitches are grass, with electric (16-amp hook-up) or non-electric options. Please bring your own tent, awning rules permitting, and camping equipment.
- Is there parking?
- Yes — there is ample parking, with one vehicle per unit and overflow parking behind reception. An extra car can be added at £2 per night, up to a maximum of two vehicles.
Seasons & access
When we're open and accessibility
- When is the park open?
- The touring and camping season runs from 1 March – 2 January each year. Holiday-home owners enjoy a 12-month season and may visit year-round. The onsite shop is open daily 9am–5pm (the food shop is seasonal) and the office closes at 5pm.
- What facilities are open during my stay?
- Live facilities include the bar and café, the onsite shop, shower and toilet blocks, a year-round launderette and the refurbished children's play park. Some facilities, including the food offering, are seasonal — please call ahead if you are visiting off-season so we can tell you exactly what's open.
- Is the park accessible?
- The park sits in gently rolling countryside with hardstanding pitches available and accessible parking close to facilities. As access needs vary, please call the team on 01841 520 855 before booking to discuss your requirements; detailed accessibility information is [to confirm].
