There is no cookie banner to answer; the small cookie button in the bottom corner of the screen shows a short summary whenever you want one.

Every cookie on the site belongs to one of these categories. Only strictly necessary cookies are set; our analytics uses none, and we run no marketing cookies.

These cookies are required for the website to work and cannot be switched off. They remember choices you make on the site, keep the site secure and let core pages load correctly. Because they are essential, we do not need your consent to set them.
On for all visitors
Analytics
These help us understand how visitors find and use the site — which pages are popular, where people arrive from and where things could be clearer — so we can keep improving. Visit statistics are counted with Plausible, which uses no cookies, stores nothing on your device and runs for all visitors. The data is used in aggregate.
Not used
Marketing
These would let us measure the performance of any advertising and tailor what you see on other sites. We do not currently run marketing cookies; the category is listed for transparency.

We never capture payment-card details on this website. Holiday bookings are made on our partners’ own sites — Hoseasons for lodges, cabins and chalets, Pitchup for touring and camping — so following a booking link takes you off this site. Anything either of them sets on your device is covered by their own cookie and privacy notices, not by this policy.

Nothing to accept or decline
We only set strictly necessary cookies and our analytics uses none, so there is nothing here to switch on or off. The “Cookie preferences” link in the footer of every page, and the cookie button in the bottom corner of the screen, bring up a short summary of how we use cookies.
