View across Port Issac harbourCornwall is widely regarded as the UK’s top holiday destination and it’s easy to see why. Whether you’re planning a family summer holiday or a short, romantic break there is just so much to see and do. And a must for any holiday in Cornwall is a visit to Padstow, the home of celebrity chef Rick Stein. With its quaint harbour and narrow streets, Padstow is packed with things to see and do. Enjoy food in one of the many great harbourside restaurants or cafes, visit the National Lobster Hatchery, take a boat trip along the beautiful Camel Estuary where you could spot seals and basking sharks or why not hire a bike and ride along the Camel Estuary to the beautiful town of Wadebridge?

Take a look at this beautiful video, produced by the county’s official tourism body, Visit Cornwall, depicting Cornwall from the air. We think you’ll be truly inspired…

Just along the coast is another ‘must-see’ destination that of Port Isaac, better known to fans of TV show Doc Martin as Portwenn. This beautiful village is well worth a visit – and you can even visit the Doc’s house.
